As a father of four, ages 14 to 20, I approach this campaign firmly invested in the future of our state and country. I am optimistic that we can leave a positive legacy for generations to follow.
I was born in Logan and grew up in Southern Idaho. I worked on farms and ranches where I learned the importance of hard work and family values. I graduated from Brigham Young University with majors in Finance and International Relations and furthered my education with an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
I have been on the management teams of several successful businesses in both Davis and Cache counties in the roles of president and COO. I am an adjunct professor at the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and a partner with jNivin, investing in and mentoring young companies.
Creating opportunity through education has been a personal passion. I currently serve on the Logan Schools Foundation Board and recently served on the board of the Mali Rising Foundation securing funds for building schools in the west African country.
I am an avid backpacker, mountain biker, skier, and amateur photographer. I also enjoy local arts, theater, as well as high school and college athletics.
